In the coming years, an advance and development of new research related to NBS is foreseen, especially those related to urban green areas (such as urban afforestation and linear parks) and the incorporation of green strategies to civil construction (such as vertical gardens and roofs vegetation), as well as landscape-scale restoration initiatives, still very important for Brazil where a series of cities face the challenges of urban growth and the need to restructure its territory.
Research centers, such as the University of São Paulo and the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE), are already investing in studying technical solutions and monitoring SbN to improve the process of implementing renewed and green strategies.
In this perspective, it is important to consolidate technical knowledge in NBS in the urban planning and design of cities, disseminating and incorporating the expertise among public management technicians and service providers that effectively build cities, such as contractors, engineers and architects.
